Hi all, This post was supposed to go live on Tuesday but unfortunately I had a few interesting days that prevented me from writing the details and setting it live so here it goes. If you haven't seen the first part of the collection, you can find it here. Now onto the polishes. Excuse Me, Sur "sun kissed coral mango", I wouldn't call it coral-mango since it's more like a peachy light pink color, not as orange toned as you would think from that description from Essie. I used 3 coats but the formula was good to work with. For the nail art I did a gradient using Excuse Me Sur, Backseat Besties and B'aha Moment and then added a white flowery stamp with Moyou London's White Stamping polish. All the Wave "sapphired indigo" When I first saw this polish it reminded me a little bit of Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue as well as Essie Butler Please, unfortunately I don't have that Essie shade with me but I can compare it to Pacific Blue if you guys want to see that. As for the application it went on pretty smooth, very similar to On the Roadie, to coats for the swatches. The little waves were stamped with the Moyou London Sailor 01 plate. On the Roadie "vibrant kelly green with avocado undertones", I really really love this color, it's a deep green and what I think forests and grass should look like. The formula was great, almost opaque on just 1 coat, I used 2 to even things out. I added 2 stamps of the same design, using Essie Good as Gold and Bundle Monster's Jungle Mirage with the Moyou London Enchanted 15 plate. I am impressed on how much I liked this collection, at first I thought there wasn't anything I've never seen before but once applied I think the colors are so bright and the formulas work so well that I'm glad I got them.
My favorites from the whole collection are: On the Roadie, All the Wave and Designated DJ. * I received these polishes courtesy of Essie as part of the #PreenVIP program. |
