Today I'm wearing the 5th polish from OPI's Iceland Collection, this is another one of those shades I wouldn't have thought about buying, but now that I'm wearing I can appreciate the color, I thought it was gonna look worse on me, like dead hands but it's kinda flattering.
I added a couple of owl pattern stamps with the Moyou London Animal 07 plate and Himalayan Salt and Teddy Bear polishes.
I have the 4th polish from OPI's Fall Collection, I was the less excited/impressed with this one when I saw their press release, dusty pink with frosty finish? Sounds like something you would find in your grandmother's make up collection... But I was pleasantly surprised when I actually wore it, cause it wasn't that bad.
I couldn't think of a design to go with it so I just added some dry brushed stripes using This Isn't Greenland and One Heckla of a Color also from the fall collection.
I have the third nail polish from OPI's Iceland collection called Less is Norse. This is a dark blurple color, it looks more purple on my pics but in real life it's more bluish. Application was a breeze, only 2 coats to even things out.
For the stamp I used the Moyou London Scandi 05 plate (same as yesterday) and the Pumpkin and Teddy Bear stamping polishes. I really liked the color combo for this mani, it screams fall for me.
I have the second polish from OPI's Iceland collection to show you. This is the one I was most excited about cause it's just the perfect blurple with multi-chrome shimmer that you need on your nails.
Since the name references northern lights I thought I give it a try at some nail art inspired in that and this is what I came up with, it looked a bit different in my head but I still like it. For the stamps I used the Moyou London Scandi 05, the mountain color is OPI Check Out the Old Geysers.
I received the OPI fall collection called Iceland last week and I couldn't be more excited. There was one color I was dying to try but I'm also enjoying playing around with colors that are out of my comfort zone, specially browns that you'll see on my next posts.
The first one I tried is Check Out the Old Geysers, it's a dusty light blue with some cerulean shimmer that's barely visible but still there. I added some plaid stamping with the Moyou London Hipster 06 plate and the Pumpkin and Gold Espresso stamping polishes. It reminds me of a cozy scarf or fall coat. What do you think?
The second nail polish from China Glaze's My Little Pony collection that I have to show you is this pastel mint creme. It was fairly easy to apply, I used 3 coats for full coverage but I wish I added top coat cause I can see that it didn't level up in some parts. It is a great polish still.
I bought all of them at www.8ty8beauty.com for $3.25/ bottle
Check out the pics:
I did a little experiment with yesterday's nail polish, I've been looking at a lot of pretty rings on etsy made out of resin with gold flakes suspended inside and I though it would look amazing as a design on your nails.
For this mani I used China Glaze Cutie Mark The Spot as the base color, then I added some gold flakies from OPI The Man With The Golden Gun, I did a little bit of placing with a sponge as well cause I wasn't getting enough from the brush, then I added a coat of Essie Pen & Ink which is a jelly from their Silk Watercolor collection. I repeated the process one more time and added a final coat of flakies on top and voila!
I am now obsessed with how this looks and I want to try it in every color.
When I saw that China Glaze was doing a My Little Pony inspired collection I knew I needed them all, so for the next few days I'll be showing you the colors and some nail art I've done with them.
The first on the list is Where's the Party Canon At? It is a beautiful magenta jelly filled with small holographic hex glitter, this was a surprise since it's was opaque in 2 coats even though I used 3 to make sure I didn't have any bald spots. On to the pics:
I have a quick post today just to assure you that I'm alive and still painting my nails. Life has been hectic and I'm to tired when I get home to edit pics in the computer so I've been slacking.
For today I have a simple but fun double stamped squared mani. The base color is Nubar Purple Aster and the stamp is from the Moyou London Princess 13 plate and their Pink! and Beach House stamping polishes.
It's already Wednesday and I have a cute mani to brighten the rest of your week. I got sunflowers today, I've been staring at this plate for months but I've been scared to use it in case I couldn't accomplished what I had imagined, I finally summed up the courage and did it and I am quite pleased.
The plate is from Born Pretty Store, it has a really long name so if you're interested just look for sunflowers and it's the plate 29, you can't miss it, it's a round one. As for the polishes I used Moyou London Toasted Mocha for the stamp and then colored it in with yellow and orange.
