Finally Saturday!! In honor of the weekend I made a really sparkly, fun manicure. It's really easy to do a design like this, all you really need is masking tape. First pick out 3 colors you like, in the picture I used Color Club Raspberry Rush (Hot Pink), OPI Rumples Wiggin' (Light Violet) and Ogre the top blue (Bright blue). Then paint your nails in what will be your base color. Wait for it to be completely dry before you cover parts of your nails with the masking tape and paint the parts left uncovered with the other 2 colors. After they were dry I added some glitter to make it pop and to cover any imperfections. I picked glitter that matched the color of the section I was painting. To finish just put a top coat on, I used the Seche Vite one. Voila! you have yourself a color block manicure. Fun isn't it? A- Hey everyone! I was playing with my new nail polishes and since I now have more pink shades I thought I'll layer them in a design. I think It looks pretty cute, how about you? What I used: - Color Club: Who are you Wearing as base color. - China Glaze: Don't Touch my Tiara for the full nail flower stamps. - Forever 21 Rose color for the accent flowers. - Konad nail plate M57 I've seen this dotting nail art tools people use to make small, polka dot type points in their nails and I was wondering, since I don't own one if the tip of a roller ball pen would serve the same purpose. I think it does! I used a pen to do the little yellow dots in this manicure and it worked great for me. I used Sally Hansen Sheer Strawberry (I know, I've been using this a lot) as a base color and L.A Girl Disco Brites in Disco Diva for the flower pattern. This pattern is from the BM16. For the dotting, just put a drop of yellow nail polish on a piece of plastic or paper and use the pen point to do the dots in the center of each flower. I really like this manicure, looks so pretty and summery in real life. So, I was looking at my nail art pictures and realized that I don't have a decent argyle manicure picture. I started trying different color combos on my notepad (I find is easier to try a design on a white notepad and then put it on your nails if you like it) and ended up doing this. I used L.A Colors Color Craze in Current (414) as base color and China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic for the stamping. The argyle design is from Konad's M60 plate. Hope you like it! Please comment and/ or subscribe. I'm trying to come up with a series of valentine's day manicures for you guys, so this is number 2! I used Sally Hansen Hard as nails in Sheer Strawberry as a base. BM21 plate for the background design (mesh thing). The little hearts from plate BM03 and the lips from plate BM02. I stamped them with a nail polish I bought from forever21 called Rose I guess, it's like a hot pink with gold shimmer on it. I tried to do a "negative" type manicure, meaning one side one color and the other side the opposite and this is how it turned out. At first I wasn't too pleased with the results but then I added the silver dotted line on the middle of the design and it made the design come together. For this manicure I used a light pink for the base (like the ones used for french manicures) and a hot pink for the second color. I used Konad plate M57, and Bundle Monster or Shany plate BM11 for the middle dotted line with a regular silver polish. I also used white polish to stamp the design over the hot pink part of the nail. If you wanna know exactly how I did it let me know and I'll post a tutorial. Hope you like it! |
