Hi guys!
I have another polish from my indie haul on the blog today. When I first say this one I knew I wanted it, the color shift of the glitter in the bottle looks amazing and the dark plum base just made it perfect. Fire Nebula has a dark plum jelly base, it's not too dark as it to appear black but it is dark enough for you to wear it by itself without the need of a base color, application was good, I used 3 coats for the swatches below. The glitter on the bottle shifts from green, gold, copper and a darker red depending on the angle of the light but that wasn't as visible on the nails, at least not on mine, I could only see copper and some hint of gold but it didn't make it any less beautiful. Hi guys, I have another Christmas design, this time there's no stamping involved which is totally different for me but I always wanted to try to do a glitter gradient and every time it was horrible and I removed it right away until finally today I'm please with the results. As base color I used Essence The Green and The Grunge (weirdest name ever, I don't get it) and the glitter is My Superstar by Jordana. I used a make up sponge to add the glitter and work the gradient over the green. I am really sad that I didn't do this design for my Christmas Eve diner cause it would be perfect, but I'm excited to keep trying new things. What do you think? Thanks for reading!!
Hi guys, Haven't posted swatches in a long time and my untried collection is overflowing my desk so I figured I should doing these posts again. Even though these are old polishes, no new collections I still like to take pictures and do a whole post just to put them away in their corresponding shelf with a clear conscience that I actually used them. To start I picked this Deborah Lippmann glitter called Good Girl Gone Bad, I love the name cause it suits the color perfectly. Application was super easy, I almost got away with 1 coat but ended up using 2 coats to even things out. The only downside I found and it's a HUGE one is that it stains... A LOT! My nails turned red after I removed this polish, I had to use the toothpaste technique to try and reverse the damage, and it helped a lot but be careful, use double base coat with this one. Hope you like this post and the polish as much as I did.
Thanks for reading. Hi guys, I have another untried from the vault today since I haven't been able to properly photograph my current mani. I swear I'll keep up tomorrow, life's been busy lately. For the time being here is a gorgeous glitter from Orly called Milky Way, it has a light blue crelly base with some shimmer and holographic silver and cooper hex glitter. It's super packed with glitter so application is a bit tricky cause the polish is thick but it has good coverage. This is 2 coats. I bought this polish on discount at Sally Beauty but you can still find it in online etailers like transdesing or head2toe for $5-$6.50
Thanks for reading ♥ Happy Friday! I'm so glad the weekend is here, we don't celebrate Labor Day here in Costa Rica like most of my readers in the US but still is nice to think that I can sleep in tomorrow. I found myself with a lot of patience the other day so I did a glitter placement manicure using loose triangle glitter I ordered online (can't remember where). I didn't planned a specific design ahead of time I just improvised as I was placing glitter, I'm proud how this turned out. And a close up of my 2 favorite nails. I was surprised with how much I enjoyed doing this manicure, it took me like a day to complete but it was like therapy and everyone seemed to like my nails so I'll probably do more glitter placement manis in the future.
Thanks for reading ♥ Hi guys, I'm taking some time away from watching Taylor Swift's new video on a loop to write this post. Yes, I'm a swiftie. ☺ I'm trying to go through my untrieds as fast as possible cause my boyfriend is traveling to Atlanta next month and that means a shameful amount of new polishes coming my way and a desperate need for more room on my desk racks. Please bear with my if I post way too many swatches and not as much nail art, ok? Anyways, today I have a polish from China Glaze's Holiday Collection 2013 called All Wrapped Up, I love me some fine glitter polishes that can be worn on their own and this was gorgeous. The color is a super gorgeous blurple, application was easy, you can use 2 easy coats but I used 3 cause that's how I like it. I seriously see myself using this polish more often as an accent nail or base for some nail art. We'll see.
Now I'm back to my music video, thanks for reading ♥ Hi guys, I'm still at the beach, going home today though, it's been a lot of fun but I miss my polishes already haha. For today I have a few pics of this gorgeous glitter for fall. I wore this on a mani a few days back but now I have it by itself. Stardust Blush is a copper micro glitter with some red hex accents, it's so packed that you can wear it by itself, this is 2 coats + top coat. I got this bottle at Sally Beauty Supply on sale a couple of months ago, but I can't remember the price, I think it was $5. I'm going home now. Thanks for reading Hi Guys, Angel Eyes is a gorgeous blue micro glitter with bigger multi colored hex, it's a bit sheer so you will need a base color. I'm using China Glaze First Mate as base and 2 coats of Angel Eyes. It's amazing how the glitter shines on your nail, it looks like moonlight reflected on a lake at night. I believe you can still get Angel Eyes on etailers like transdesign or 8ty8beauty. Thanks for reading ♥ Hi guys, Things are finally settling down on the home front, I wish I could say the same about work but... I guess you can't win them all. I'm wearing an old polish today, this has been on my untrieds for 2 years I'm guessing, it was sent to me by my friend Nicole from @mynailsmypolish and it's gorgeous but I can't seem to make myself wear read polish cause I dread the removal, lame I know. Ruby Rhinestones is a mix of red and black glitter on a jelly red base, I wore 2 coats over a red creme. Application was easy breezy. I really like how red polish looks and no matter how many red glitters I have this one is unique with the extra black glitter in it. I can't be sure if you still can find this polish but if you do, it's a good one.
Thanks for reading ♥ Happy Monday! I don't usually wear texture polishes but when I do they sparkle! That's why today I have this textured polish from OPI. Get your Number is a blue glitter textured filled with holographic glitter that just gives it an extra wow factor to an already gorgeous blue. Application was easy, I used 3 coats for the pics below but you can still see a bit of nail line, I guess since the base is jelly like you need a bit more coats for perfect coverage. Get your number might be one of my favorite textured polishes so far, having holographic glitter really makes it unique.
I got my bottle at TJ Maxx on a 2 polish bundle for $6.99 but I guess you can still find it at the usual stores like Ulta. Thanks for reading ♥ |
