I tried to do a "negative" type manicure, meaning one side one color and the other side the opposite and this is how it turned out. At first I wasn't too pleased with the results but then I added the silver dotted line on the middle of the design and it made the design come together. For this manicure I used a light pink for the base (like the ones used for french manicures) and a hot pink for the second color. I used Konad plate M57, and Bundle Monster or Shany plate BM11 for the middle dotted line with a regular silver polish. I also used white polish to stamp the design over the hot pink part of the nail. If you wanna know exactly how I did it let me know and I'll post a tutorial. Hope you like it! I just got 5 new Konad plates, so excited!! They were M14, M57, M64, M65 and M73. I bought them in a bundle on ebay from a seller called: babydiscountcentre and you get to pick 5 Konad nail plates for $34.98, free shipping and for free you get a stamper and scraper which I though was a pretty sweet deal. The shipping was super fast. They ship same day if you place your order before 6pm EST. I ordered the plates on the 11th and received them today. You can buy the bundle here! Whenever I'm trying to come up with a new design or thinking what to do next I always find myself going back to the same 2 or 3 plates in my collection. Right now my favorite Konad plate is m60. it has 4 full nail designs: argyle, stripped, circle stripes (if that makes sense to you) and a couple of pretty flowers. Yesterday I ordered 5 more plates from Konad so I might be changing my mind soon... I had no idea what to do with my nails for new year's so after a long consideration I decided to match my nails to my dress and I loved it. I used Rodeo Fanatic from China Glaze and light blue for the polka dots. For the ring finger I used white but you can barely tell the difference. I made the Polka Dots with the plate BM19 from the Shany nail plates which are the same as the Bundle Monster ones sold on amazon.com but you can use Konad's M79 plate as well. |
