Hi guys,
Today I have a beautiful holographic nail polish from Colors By Llarowe called High School Was Rough Man (gotta love that name), I've been seeing pics of their polishes forever and I was super excited to finally get my hands on some. For these pics I only did 2 coats and no top coat, the color is a bit greener in real life but my camera refused to get it together and take a decent picture to do it justice. Hi guys,
About a month ago I got both of the Essie Silk Watercolor mini sets, that include their line of sheer jelly's that you can layer and mix for different colors and I've been dying to use them for a same color gradient. I finally gathered the courage and went with this glitter+jelly layer combo. First I used my glitter as base, this was as close as silver as I found on my stash, then I layered the jelly color on my nails, one coat covering 1/3rd of my nail, second coat covering 2/3rd and the third coat covering my whole nail to give it a bit of a gradient. Finally I added a black wavy stamp with the BM 201 plate. Hi guys,
I'm really excited about today's post cause I have this gorgeous Illamasqua color to show you. This one I got a while back when Hautelook had them on sale, I've never bought polishes from this brand before so I had to order some. The color lived up to the hype and application was super easy, I needed 3 coats cause I get super picky about bald patches but you can get away with 2. This polish doesn't dry to a high shine but it's not matte either, it looks more like a rubbery finish to me. Hi guys,
Today I don't have a new mani for you, just a couple of quick swatches from this beautiful off white color from OPI's Soft Shades collection 2016 called It's in the Clouds. I love whites like these where there's something different, whether is a little tint or sparkle cause they make it more fun and they're usually quite flattering for everyone. For these pics I used 3 coats and no top coat, I couldn't think of a stamp to go with it cause it was just so pretty by itself, check it out. Hi all,
Today I have a beautiful mint pastel to show you from Essie, this was from their Spring 2014 collection but I just got around to buying and I love the color, it's a really cool minty shade with some crystal shimmer going on. It is definitely more noticeable in the bottle than in the nail but it still gives it a fresh look. Application was a bit tricky, the polish is a bit sheer so you need at least 3 coats and it can get patchy as well, so a light hand and thicker coats might help. I still love how it looks so I can deal with the extra effort. Hi Guys,
I've been trying to go over my collection looking for polishes that I haven't used, cause even though I don't have 1/3 of what I used to there's still a lot of untried polishes laying around and they need some love. For today's post I'm wearing Butter London Jaffa, this is a carrot orange creme, it dries super shiny, almost like a jelly but the coverage is great, I used 3 coats for these pics. Happy Monday,
I was recently feeling like Periwinkle on my nails and on a quick target run to get medicine I stumbled upon this great shade by Sinful Colors called Sail La Vie. The polish went supper smooth on my nails, only 2 coat needed for full opacity. I added this cute lace stamp using the Bundle Monster BM-XL206 plate and Moyou London's White Knight. Hi all,
Spring is in the air after last week's storms on the east coast so I'm ready to rock flowery and colorful manicures, for this one in particular I found inspiration from an image online but I can't remember if it was a wallpaper or a pattern on a dress so please forgive my really bad memory. The base color for this is the lovely OPI Spoken from the Heart from the Hello Kitty collection, as you can see from the bottle it's a hot pink jelly, stamped with Essie Good as Gold and the BP 73 plate (Born Pretty Store). The roses were colored in with OPI Breakfast at Tiffany's and Barielle Smarty Pants Pink. Happy Easter guys!!
I couldn't decide what to do with my nails for the holiday so I went with a neon rainbow gradient cause you can't do wrong with that, I used all of the polishes from the Bliss Polish Spring Break Collection cause I'm obsessed. I love neon polishes and even more when they're pastel neon awesomeness. For the stamp I used the Moyou London Festive 14 plate (hubby helped me choose) and their White Knight stamping polish. The Happy Easter is from the same plate but their Toasted Mocha polish. Hi all,
Last week I received the Essie Spring 2017 collection courtesy of Preen Me and I was super excited, the colors are beautiful, way bolder than what I expect for spring which is usually pastel shades. There's a little bit for everyone from grass green to several shades of pink to cover all the bases. |
